Avatars and Robots As Our Future Teachers?

Not long ago, I was talking about the rapidly approaching reality of augmented college curriculums using Avatars, on the web Lectures, and Robots. Sounds like a Science Fiction movie, but this reality is coming faster than many people understand. Let me present some additional dialogue on this.

The thing is, an acquaintance asked if I’d been aware of the ideas of avatars in training, and especially pointed me personally to the MindShift educational web log, he then wondered my applying for grants the teacher-student relationship with all the future of robots and avatars if I believed online university lectures were the long term. Interestingly sufficient, i actually do, to discover a few of these and more training technologies completely reshaping exactly how we think about college. Let me now explain a number of my experiences and observations.

Now then, when I went along to the very first DARPA Grand Challenge, at the banquet I sat with a lady from Florida who was simply a psychologist and also at the dining table we all chatted about human-robot interaction, then later for emotional bonding, I get it as I watched the work at Carnegie Mellon, MIT and in Japan with Asimo on emotional mimicking and mirroring, all of that made sense to me. Certainly, We went along to an lecture that is interesting the University of Riverside in CA where Autistic Teaching scientists revealed unbelievable success within the class room, freeing up teachers from costly private training, that will be “appropriate” but difficult to stomach for the taxpayers and college systems.

Then I viewed the lectures on kids in Quora (Sp?) where they worked with Avatars and collaborated half real way worldwide. Yes, i’ve written with this topic, all those addressed in right here in this article and exactly how to make use of the synergy of it all by simply understanding how the brain believes, learns, and synthesizes information. Children actually like this material, maybe because it is new, and maybe they’ll not like it once the nuance wears off in suppose 15-years when robots are pervasive in every respect of modern life, but we have a genuine opportunity now, so we should take it.

The truth is, i’m unconvinced that simply speaing frankly about it is enough anymore about it and writing. I really believe it is time to take it all to fruition and to make it happen, only then can we experience the benefits of having educated the generation that is next the point that they’ll survive, thrive and improve upon our technologically advanced society. That’s how we see it, how about you. Shoot me personally a message, let us talk. Until then please contemplate all this and think on it.
